What Will I Experience?Build a FoundationBegin with a focused day of learning led by a seminary or denominational partner. You'll explore foundational ideas for ministry with children and connect with others participating in the Micro-Credential.

Learn Alongside the APCE CommunityContinue through specially selected APCE Annual Event workshops that build on your foundational learning and offer practical ideas and resources for ministry. All required workshops are available online and at the APCE Annual Event in person. Put Your Learning into PracticeAfter the Annual Event, join a small online cohort led by an experienced faith formation educator. You'll meet 4–6 times to share ideas, ask questions, reflect on what you're trying, and encourage one another.

Who Is This For?This experience is designed for volunteers, church educators, pastors, commissioned and lay leaders, and others involved in faith formation—whether you're new to the work or have been doing it for years. You don't need a particular title, degree, or number of years of experience. You simply need a desire to learn and grow. Join Us in Portland—or Participate OnlineIf you can join us in Portland, we'd love to have you there! There's something special about learning face-to-face, sharing conversations between sessions, and building relationships as part of the larger APCE Annual Event community. We also know that travel isn't possible for everyone. That's why the Micro-Credential can also be completed online. The Tuesday learning day, required Annual Event workshops, and post-event cohort gatherings are all available virtually. Whether you're with us in Portland or joining online, you'll be part of a community learning, connecting, and growing together. Micro-Credential Fee: $75 + Annual Event RegistrationThe Micro-Credential is offered as an add-on to the APCE Annual Event. Participants must register for the Annual Event either in person or online, in addition to paying the $75 Micro-Credential fee. Your Micro-Credential experience includes the Tuesday learning day, designated Annual Event workshops, and 4–6 post-event online cohort gatherings. Completion is based on active participation—not tests, papers, or grades. Participants who complete the experience will receive recognition from APCE, which can also be shared with their congregation or ministry setting. You Already Have Gifts for Ministry.
